It’s really good

Bought it as I had some cosmetic work done by an Auckland plastic surgeon in March and I’d been buying the smaller tubes from his office to hydrate my surgical scars as they heal. Decided to buy directly from the supplier this time to get a bigger tube of the alhydran, it seems good. My scars are continuing to heal and I use it religiously on them.

I was undergoing radiation therapy and using the provided gel as a skin care treatment. One of the nurses advised me to try Alhydran. The improvement was immediate. I don't do reviews as a rule on products, but this was an amazing change. I continue to use Alhydran as a post treatment cream, and my skin is great. I totally recommend this cream for use when undergoing radiotherapy.

A while ago I was given ALHYDRAN for my very dry, painful legs. It’s also very effective against itching. ALHYDRAN is really easy to apply and is one of the few products that can be used under support stockings! You used to be able to claim for it on health insurance but sadly you can’t any more. I would almost wish all my problems on the health insurance companies, so that they’d know and feel what my many patients and I go through every day! I really hope ALHYDRAN will be available on basic or supplementary health insurance again.

A damaged skin barrier

 

When the skin barrier is disrupted, the body loses an abnormal high volume of water through the skin. This will result in a decrease of the normal water percentage in the epidermis, causing the skin barrier to disfunction. This vulnerable skin is unable to heal and protect itself.

Complaints arise such as severe itching, redness, dry skin etc. This in turn can cause, among other things, unfavourable scar development, trigger eczema and stagnation of wound healing. This skin needs optimal hydration of the epidermis and restoration of the barrier function to be able to recover.
