Healing

Hi I have been using Scarban on 2 quite long new scars ( inside of both arms) and it is a fantastic product for this - I notice because you can leave it on for a couple of days - it keeps the scars moisturised and I believe that helps. I think my scars would not be as insignificant as they are without this product. It is less than a year since my surgery and already scars are very very pale and thin. Well worth a try.

I am happy with the Scarban sheeting. It adheres well to the skin and molds well too because it is so thin.

Oncology symposium

During a symposium for oncology nurses last 2 days I learned about scarban.

What I didn't know I now know:

That Scarban can still be used well after the operation (sometimes 2 years later).
That it can always be used on a scar that is still red.
If the scar itches Scarban helps well.

Scarban Silicone Sheet Light (0.7 mm) – Flexible Silicone Scar Sheets for Sensitive Skin

Scarban Silicone Sheet Light is the ideal choice when you need effective silicone scar sheeting but find thicker products, such as Scarban Elastic, too intense. At just 0.7 mm, these lightweight silicone sheets for scars are thinner, more flexible and perfectly suited for areas of the body that flex – such as elbows, knees and other joints. They are gentle enough for sensitive skin while still delivering clinically proven results in scar reduction.

Why Choose Scarban Light Silicone Sheets?

  • Thinner and more flexible – comfortable to wear on moving body parts and over joints

  • Perfect for sensitive skin – reduces irritation compared to thicker silicone scar sheeting

  • Very high-level UV protection – helps prevent scar discolouration and darkening from sunlight

  • Customisable – each silicone sheet can be cut to fit your scar area and body shape

  • Multiple sizes available – choose the best scar sheet size and fit for your treatment needs

Whether you’re managing a post-surgical scar, burn, graft site or an older raised scar, Scarban Light offers a flexible silicone sheet for scars that you can wear comfortably every day.

How Scarban Light Helps With Scar Reduction

Scars can affect both the look and feel of your skin. The more severe the wound, the greater the risk of visible scarring. Scarban medical silicone scar sheets are used by scar-care professionals worldwide because silicone therapy is clinically proven to help prevent and minimise scars.

When used early as part of your silicone scar treatment routine, Scarban Light can:

  • Relieve itching and discomfort within days
  • Improve scar softness and flexibility
  • Reduce redness and help flatten scar tissue
  • Minimise scar formation over time

Visible improvements are often seen within 2–4 months. For best results, begin using silicone scar sheeting as soon as the wound has fully healed and your healthcare provider advises it is safe to start.

Scars disfigure your skin

The more severe the wound, the greater the chance of a scar (small or large). Take action: prevent or limit scarring as much as possible – which is exactly what Scarban does.

Consistent use of silicone scar sheeting over weeks and months is key to achieving good cosmetic results.

The scar-reducing effects of silicone are scientifically supported

Decades of clinical use support the benefits of silicone scar sheeting. This is why medical silicone sheets for scars have become the preferred non-invasive therapy in professional scar treatment. Scarban sheets are recommended by scar-care professionals, burn units and plastic surgery teams for their reliability and comfort.

  3. Apply directly over the scar, adhesive side down.
  4. Wear daily as recommended by your healthcare provider (often 12–24 hours per day).
  5. Gently wash and reuse according to the instructions to maintain hygiene and adhesion.

Scarban Light Silicone Scar Sheets – FAQs

Do silicone scar sheets really work for scars?

Yes. Medical-grade silicone scar sheets like Scarban Light are widely used by scar-care professionals, burn units and plastic surgeons. When worn consistently over weeks and months, silicone scar sheeting can help flatten raised scars, soften tight or rigid areas and reduce redness and itch.

Can Scarban Light be used on older scars, or only new scars?

Silicone scar sheets are most effective when started early, once the wound has fully healed. However, many people also see benefits on older scars, especially if the scar is still raised, red or itchy. Your healthcare provider can advise whether Scarban Light silicone sheets are suitable for your specific scar.

How many hours a day should I wear silicone scar sheets?

Most people are advised to wear silicone scar sheeting for 12–24 hours per day, removing the sheet briefly to wash and dry the skin and the silicone. Always follow the guidance provided by your specialist or therapist, as recommended wear time can vary depending on your scar and skin type.

Can I cut Scarban Light silicone sheets to fit my scar?

Yes. Scarban Light silicone scar sheets are designed to be trimmed with clean scissors so you can match the shape and size of your scar. Ensure the sheet fully covers the scar and extends slightly onto healthy skin around the edges for best adhesion and comfort.

Are silicone scar sheets suitable for sensitive skin and joints?

Scarban Light is specifically designed as a thinner, more flexible silicone sheet for scars on sensitive or high-movement areas such as elbows, knees and joints. If you have very reactive skin or a history of allergies, check with your healthcare provider before starting any new scar treatment.
